Meet Rixivesh
I am Rixivesh, a Colombian woman passionate about literature, coffee, and music. In my teenage years, I not only discovered my love for writing—thanks to a special program created by my Spanish teacher—but also my pen name, inspired by a book that told the adventure of children rearranging the alphabet. Since then, I have embraced “Rixivesh” as my writer’s pseudonym, under which I have signed poems, stories, and memories that fill my literary chest.
A decade later, I had to embark on a great adventure: I packed that chest and moved to the United States with my husband and daughter. Adapting to a new culture was a challenge I faced with courage, convinced that I could conquer the world with the tools I had—my desire to grow professionally and my dream of becoming a successful woman.
After 11 years in New Jersey—during which I learned English, trained as a hairstylist, and became co-founder of “Reminiscence”
“Reminiscence” (a company dedicated to supporting older adults with Alzheimer’s)—I decided to pursue my greatest dream: becoming a writer. My daughter was my greatest inspiration to begin this new chapter, constantly reminding me of the dream that had brought me to this country.
Fifteen years ago, I began writing the story of Vicky, my protagonist, a woman whose life reflects how unhealed traumas can turn into illness. Inspired by my fascination with the connection between the physical, emotional, and spiritual, I started jotting down fragments on loose sheets of paper that, over time, took shape as my first novel: Forgive or Die.
Between early mornings and countless cups of coffee, I transformed real-life scenes—like that of an elderly man listening to music in a park—into key elements of the plot. Finally, in August 2024, this dream became a reality with the publication of my book, an achievement that would not have been possible without the support of a wonderful team who worked with me on editing, cover design, and the launch.
Since then, I have been an active member of Mi Libro Hispano and have had the honor of participating in both the Miami Book Fair and the Santo Domingo International Book Fair. This journey has allowed me to grow as a writer and to experience the magic of connecting with readers around the world.
